Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Assist the General Manager by assuming an active role in providing an outstanding Shakey’s® guest experience, building the team with the very best people, serving a high quality consistent product, ensuring sound financial results and upholding Shakey’s® Standards.

 
Summary of Essential Duties

Consistently practice Shakey’s® signature Service standards to ensure a quality, fun Shakey’s® experience.
Demonstrate Fun, Integrity, Energy, Empowerment, and Respect at all times.
Teach, Coach and role model Leadership and Ownership paradigms.
Create an environment of outstanding guest service every day.
Assist General Manager in the development of team members and their ability to deliver the Shakey’s® experience.
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary lobby and/or restaurant areas.
Coach the team members and lead to ensure flawless shift execution.
Assist the General Manager in the development of a positive learning environment, and supportive training culture.
Assist General Manager in evaluating team member performance.
Provide daily performance feedback to team members.
Monitor inventory to ensure proper use of product.
Assist General Manager with controlling daily labor schedule.
Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing levels through recruitment and selection.
Assist General Manager in maintaining a safe work environment and restaurant adherence to all safety standards.
Open and close restaurant as needed.
Perform inventory and product ordering as needed.
Follow cash handling policies and procedures as outlined in the Cash Handling policy.
Administer New Hire Orientation and team member Training.
Demonstrate fair and equal understanding and inclusion of the diversity of team member backgrounds, cultures and points of view.
Comply with ServSafe™ practices with regard to personal cleanliness and food handling.


Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in a lead position at Shakey’s®/or in a management position with a retail/food company.
Must lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout an 8-10 hour shift.

Education
